I See Flowers, You See Cars by Jo Kelly Stephenson, was one of four finalists for 'Album of the Year (Alt.Country)' 2008 American Independent Music Awards (IMA)

Four songs won top placements in the 2007 Australian Songwriting Contest including the International Category.

12 Songs full of rich melodies, harmonies and instrumentation with diverse influences. Recorded in Melbourne, Australia and produced with Ken Stephenson.

Jo Kelly writes the songs, sings, plays guitar, piano and acoustic bass. Ken features on dobro, banjo, mandolin, electric guitar and the Neilson lap steel

By joining forces with Australian blues legends, Spectrum, the Australian countryside is turned into a concoction of roots and wild flowers with this collection of groove based songs. Every now and then you come across an album and it just ..... rocks your world a little bit and for me Jo Kelly Stephenson's debut album, I See Flowers, You See Cars definitely falls into that category.
This album has many different influences.... at times it's pop... at times it's rock.... at times it's country....soul.....blues.

It's sultry, it's old, it's new, it's eclectic..... In a time when a lot of albums do have a sort of sameness from track to track, this album is a refreshing change, which embraces the listener and rewards all the way through to the very end.
